The organizers of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) exhibition said the event in 2023 will not take place.
Electronic Software Association (ESA) sent an email to her partners with a leave to cancel. The first reported by the journalists of the IGN portal, to whom the text of the message was transmitted by members of the association.
E3 remains our favorite event and brand. The 2023 version did not cause a sustainable interest necessary for it in such a way as to demonstrate the size, strength and influence of our industry.
ESA letter
In 2023, E3 was supposed to return to the full -time format. The organizers even included a team Reedpop, Responsible for Pax, Comic Con in New York and the Star Wars Celebration festival. However, as they write to the IGN, it was not possible to attract participants because of poor communication.
Many companies either did not confirm their participation to the last, or openly stated that they would miss E3. The French even turned away from the exhibition Ubisoft, who have not missed this event for the past 20 years.
There is no information yet whether to expect E3 later in 2023 or next year.

I would put the E3 body forward with my feet instead of the lesson, but not because I am an evil person, but rather because it is all dictated by the formula: “The best enemy of the good”. Everyone has already confidently settled in online and most likely do not understand what real benefits from participating in E3 (when accounting for the total cost).

This is sad, although I have never been at such events, I watched them with pleasure. On the one hand, everyone will tell you online, but on the other, I liked all this feeling of the holiday + living people, their rumble in the background, their “wow” to show new games and so on.
The era has gone? Or they will take out a lesson, change and will light up next year?
There is no half news on Stopgame
Actually, it was possible.
So with E3 there was no one big show … Everything was just on a bunch of small streams under one publisher … A separate show of Mikes, a separate one at Sonya, separately at the anniversary, separately at the gazebo, sometimes even separately at the scales of Enix, a separate direct + trihaus nintedo and centralized for all different bake -ups in PC gaming, and be there a show … A separate show at EA, but it was always outside the E3, but for some reason on the same dates as E3 and therefore everyone considered her show for the unofficial part E3.
And at the same time, a bunch of info at stands, at closed events, etc., so you also learned a bunch of infusions from man on Twitter or on the sites of the players who were there.
E3 never had a whole show on the air. These have always been separate broadcasts for each major publisher. You definitely followed E3 at least one year? Because I followed since 2012 and I do not remember that at least once there was something in common on the likeness of the opener of the gamers or Summer Gam Fest.
Heretic! The only correct centralized source of all announcements and news is Stopgame
Expected. The industry adapt to the covid, and then it turned out that it was so more convenient. Why go somewhere and do something if you can cut a video and pour into the network without leaving the building.
Only players will lose here for whom this "gathering" was akin to the holiday. Well, maybe the organizers who do not drop the grandmas.
Given that E3 for publishers and developments is not just to hold an online show, but to bring the company to the place, organize a stand (and the scale of E3 should be huge), make and bring demo-bites that have not released games (which is already soadmn, instead of making a game, killing extra time on a demo-book) and still engage in the production of exclusive merchants under E3 And all that is so … And the profit is like 20 or even 10 years ago, now online presentations are better handled by this.
E3 was necessary back in 2020 to change under the new and constant format of online, but they did not want to, so Summer Heim Fest was born, who calmly replaced E3.
That’s just more centralized by the online Summer Game Fest, to which most of the “own” presentations are added. But with E3, you also learned a lot from 99999 inserts, because at the online presentations, only a particle of information was timed to the E3, and also some people learned from the players on the exhibition and closed presentations of players on Twitter or on their sites.
Yes, E3 was bad even before the crown and it was already clear that it was necessary, E3 2019 is a great example.
You can’t tell you from what edition this journalist?
E3 has long bended, so after all the refusals of participation, the cancellation is the expected and logical result.
Good start, you will do it for new managers. No, E3 must be reanimated, you cannot bend such events.
Forget. The person simply sat on Stopheim Stream or someone else and just stupidly did not notice how the streamers switched the tabs on the broadcast of other companies.
